Grandma’s House is a brewery & taproom on the historic Antique Row stretch of South Broadway. Now in our fourth year, we have steadily grown yet very much remain a small company. We continually seek out candidates that can help the company grow by utilizing diverse skills. Attributes and skills we are seeking in potential candidates for the taproom manager position include the following:
Previous management experience in a bar or restaurant setting is required.
Demonstrated experience delegating tasks to other staff members to achieve desired results.
Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, to be effective with minimal oversight, and the initiative to take on new projects and run with them.
Aptitude to absorb information quickly and apply it.
A thorough knowledge of beer styles, the desire to build on that knowledge, and the capability to provide a nuanced and informed description of any of our beers as well as make recommendations based on beer style preferences while gauging the knowledge level of each of our guests.
The capability to provide an excellent taproom experience for our guests.
Other skills which could be beneficial include, but are not limited to: graphic design, event planning, bookkeeping, inventory management.
Grandma’s House strongly believes that all of our employees (both FOH and BOH) contribute to the success of the business, which is why all of our employees make at least the non-tipped minimum wage, along with a share of a tip pool distributed amongst all employees so that all staff benefit directly when we produce a superior product and guest experience.
